Did you find what you wanted?

If you asked me what my two least favorite Stampin’ Up colors are and I wouldn’t even hesitate before saying Sahara Sand and Bravo Burgandy. I don’t even own ink pads in these colors! Now take a look at this week’s colors from Nacho Average Challenges:

They call it a challenge for a reason, so I decided to stretch myself and play along. Luckily, I do have a Bravo Burgandy Stampin’ Write Marker. I did use a little Pumpkin Pie too, though, because every snowman needs a carrot nose! (I hope that’s okay.)

Stamps: Stylin’ Snowfolk
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Bravo Burgandy, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Bravo Burgandy, Regals Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack
Other: Whisper White 1/4″ Stitched Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon
I stamped the snowman on Whisper White, then cut him out and glued him on top of the Sahara Sand. I think it makes him pop a bit more.

Today’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches has a nice vertical focal point that I knew would be just perfect for the snowman in the new Stylin’ Snowfolk stamp set.

Never mind the fact that it is the 4th of July and I’m in Southern California. Sometimes you just have to stamp a snowman! This set has so many cute accessories to make both snowmen and snow women, including a mustache! I went with your pretty basic snowman today, just adding some glasses.

Stamps: Stylin’ Snowfolk
Ink: Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango
Paper: Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Floral District Designer Series Paper, In Color 2011-2013 Designer Series Paper Stack (Island Indigo)
Other: Tangerine Tango Dotted Scalloped Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensional
Happy 4th of July if you are celebrating today!

A few people have asked to see the cards that the fourth graders made on their field trip to the Jewish Home. This is one of them! This card was designed by my downline, Samantha Alvarez, who is one of the fourth grade teachers. It uses the now sold-out Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Paper. (Note: If you really love something, order it early in the mini catalog period.) The good news is that there is still a digital version of this paper available and it will never run out! Three of the patterns are available in fabric as well.

Stamps: Holiday Lineup
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, Real Red, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Paper
Here’s the same card, but I substituted the Big on Christmas stamp set instead. I love that these two sets have images the same size so that they are interchangeable! We had both sets available for the kids and seniors to choose from.

Although I used my markers to color in these images, we brought the Watercolor Pencils to the Jewish Home instead.
