I really like this sketch from Fab Friday with the giant tag on it. I played around with some other ideas of what that shape could be, but in the end I came back to a tag.

Two of my friends had baby boys last week, so I figured I had better make at least one baby boy card! They are both teachers, so that alphabet spout does double duty on the card.

Stamps: Oh Whale
Ink: Baja Breeze, So Saffron
Paper: Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Whisper White, Patio Party Designer Series Paper, Subtle Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack
Other: Happy Whale Clearlit, Bitty Banners Framelits, Soft Subtles Brads

Don’t forget that Baja Breeze is one of the colors that is retiring at the end of the month. And this cute Oh Whale set with the matching die are both in the Occasions mini catalog, which also ends at the end of this month. And I don’t see them anywhere in the new catalog, so if you like them, act soon!

Oh yes, I did it again! Another triple challenge card! I think all of the challenges for playing so nicely together! This one combines the sketch from Retro Sketches, the colors from Dynamic Duos, and the Paper Players clean and simple theme challenge of buttons and bows for babies.

I was thinking about using that adorable elephant from the Henry Says stamp set, but he faces the wrong way for this sketch, so instead I die cut a whale from with the Happy Whale Clearlit.

Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Basick Black, Whisper White, Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack
Other: Happy Whale Clearlit Die, Cloudy Day Embossing Folder, Whisper White 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, Brights Buttons, Neutrals Brads

This doesn’t have to be a baby card, but it certainly works for that. I will be using this for a baby shower in a couple of weeks. (So act surprised, Sam, if you are reading this!)

I always feel a sense of accomplishment when I manage to combine two challenges on to the same card. Today, though, I fit THREE! And it came together so easily it was like it was meant to be! I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, the colors from Fab Friday, and the markers and textures from the Friday Mashup. (I almost fit the Paper Players in there too, but that will have to wait until later.)

A baby card seemed the best thing to do with those colors, and the sailboat from Moving Forward fit the circle so nicely. For my texture I used the new Clouds Embossing Folder. Isn’t that a fun folder? I just love it! The sentiment fits perfectly in the new little scallop circle punch.

The finished card is 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ so that it will fit in a regular envelope.

One of my friends is pregnant with twins, and I wanted to make a super cute card for her since she is also a paper crafter and appreciates that kind of thing! I was inspired by this card by Marie Shaughnessy. Since she is expecting a boy and a girl, I changed up the colors.

Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Crumb Cake
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Subtles Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack
Other: Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Labels Collection Framelits

I just love these shaped cards with the Labels Framelits! I think the adorable edge just adds so much!

A good friend of my husband’s had a baby boy last weekend, so I pulled out my Fox & Friends stamp set to make him a card. If you don’t already own it, you need to be sure and pick this before it retires on May 30th. It is super versatile and a great set for making baby and little kid cards. I especially love that monkey!

Stamps: Fox & Friends, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizazz, So Saffron
Paper: Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizazz, Whisper White
Other: Square Lattice Texture Impressions Embossing Folder, Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon

For today’s card I combined this weekend’s Stamping411 challenge with the Friday Mashup. Stamping411 has a great sketch with a large focal image. This works perfectly with the Friday Mashup’s challenge to create a quilt card. I love quilt cards and it’s been a long time since I made one.

I used some more of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper from Sale-a-Bration (which ends Saturday!!) to create my quilt. The 1″ square punch was super handy in getting the exact part of the designs that I wanted. For the part of the Mashup challenge to “use something that’s been forgotten,” I used my Curly Label punch. That seems to have fallen by the wayside since the Decorative Label punch came out.

Stamps: Baby Bundle
Ink: Peach Parfait
Paper: Pool Party, Peach Parfait, Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper
Other: Curly Label Punch, 1″ Square Punch, Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Pool Party Seam Binding

I don’t know if you can see it that well in the picture, but I ran the “quilted” piece through the Big Shot in the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions folder to give it more of a quilted look.

It is Stampin’ Addicts third birthday and we are throwing a party! Not just one party, but many parties — it’s a blog hop featuring all different types of parties. I am happy to start you off here with Stop #1 for a Baby Shower. (If you just came from the 4th of July Party at Krystal’s blog or the Sesame Street Party at Kim’s blog, don’t worry, we all link in a circle!) I decided to coordinate my projects with three colors — Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, and So Saffron. Just so you know, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz are two of the In Colors that will be retiring at the end of May. If you love them, then stock up now!

The first thing any party needs is an invitation, of course, so that is my first project for you. It’s kind of lumpy to mail, but those mini clothespins are just too cute!

Stamps: Baby Bundle, Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel
Ink: Basic Gray, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride
Paper: Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Whisper White
Other: Mini Clothes Pins, Lucky Limeade Baker’s Twine

What’s a party without yummy treats? These cupcake toppers were quick and easy to make, and help carry the theme through nicely.

Stamps: Baby Bundle
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Crumb Cake
Paper: Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Other: 1″ Circle Punch, 1 1/4″ Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, bamboo skewers

Of course you also need a party favor for the guests to take home. This cute little box was super easy to make on the Simply Scored, and can be filled with candy or any other little goodies for the guests. I love how perfectly the Packed for Baby stamp works on the top!

Stamps: Packed for Baby
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Crumb Cake
Paper: Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Other: Eyelet Border Punch, Blushing Bride 3/8″ Pleated Satin Ribbon, Simply Scored

Finally, after any party with gifts, you need thank you notes. What could be cuter than a thank you note shaped like a onesie! Usually I would put brads on the bottom, but I left them off in order to mail them more easily.

I hope you enjoyed this Baby Shower! Your next party is a Sesame Street Party with Kim. How cute is that punch art?!

A friend of mine was invited to a Red Egg & Ginger party for her cousin’s new baby. I had not heard of this before, but learned that it is a traditional Chinese party to welcome a new baby about a month after he or she is born. I decided to make a card in the shape of a red egg, and emboss it in gold to emphasize the tradition. I made the egg shape out of an old Coluzzle template that I had, but you could also use an oval Big Shot die.

Stamps: Lovely Letters, Baroque Motifs
Ink: VersaMark
Paper: Real Red
Other: Gold Embossing Powder, Oval Coluzzle (retired)

This is one of my favorite things about card making — truly making the card fit the occasion and the recipient!

One of my colleagues at work is having a baby girl, so I made up a pack of these cards as a gift. Didn’t they turn out super cute?

Stamps: Baby Bundle
Inks:
Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink
Papers:
Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Accessories:
1 1/4″ Circle Punch, 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch, Pretty in Pink Dotted Scallop Ribbon, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Big Shot

I chose not to put any sentiment on them, so she could use them for any occasion she wanted.

One of Eve’s teachers is having a baby boy, so I thought I would make her a nice pack of cards for her shower. I made them flat, so she wouldn’t have any issues with mailing them. Eve helped out by die cutting all of the scalloped rectangles for me. She’s a whiz with the Big Shot!

Stamps: Baby Bundle
Ink: Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue
Paper: Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Subtles Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack
Other: Bashful Blue Satin Ribbon, Scallop Rectangle Clearlits Die, Big Shot

I really love this layout. There are so many images that can fit in that rectangle, I know I will use it again and again!
