Passover Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Passover Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up Demonstrators from around the world stretching our creativity to make Jewish holiday cards with Stampin’ Up products. Passover begins Monday night, April 10, 2017 so that is what we are focusing on for this hop. You may have just arrived from Liz Roberts’s blog, or if you are going backwards from Pascale Godot’s blog. Maybe you are starting here! In any case, all of the blogs link in a circle so you won’t miss a single unleavened idea.

I have two cards to show you today. The first one is fun and bright, featuring my favorite Passover symbol, the frog! (Why a frog, you ask? Think about the 10 plagues…)

All of the blogs link in a circle, so you won’t miss a single amazing project. If you get stuck, you can always click the link to the Stamp Review Crew to take you to the master list.

I will be honest with you. I love this stamp set for the fonts of the sentiments much more than for the flower images. I do, however, like pairing it with the matching Rose Garden Thinlets as I did below. I used the gorgeous new pack of Glimmer Paper that is one of the additional Sale-a-Bration options.

100th Day of School

It is the 100th Day of School here, and I needed something quick and easy to celebrate. I made this fun necklace out of the Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper that is one of the additional Sale-a-Bration options (starting February 21st). I used the Large Number Framelits and then attached them to some Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Here’s a closer look. I think it took me 5 minutes to make.

p.s. I still have a few Plexus samples to mail out. let me know if you want one!

2017 Year of the Red Rooster

Gung Hay Fat Choy! January 27th is the Lunar New Year and the start of the Year of the Rooster. (Or possible a chicken, depending on the translation that you use.) This is a Fire year, so it is considered the Year of the Red Rooster/Chicken, which is very lucky. My daughter is taking Mandarin in middle school, so I made her this card to give to her teacher. (I’m so glad that we have these chicken stamps available during Sale-a-Bration!)

Year of the Rooster by Yapha

Stamps: Hey Chick
Ink: VersaMark
Paper: Real Red, Gold Foil
Other: Stitched Shape Framelits, Festive Embossing Folder, Gold Embossing Powder

I used the theme of New Beginnings (for the Chinese New Year) from the Less is More Challenge and the great sketch from the Stamp Ink Paper challenge.

Are you curious about this Plexus stuff that I keep posting about? Wondering what the big deal is? Why I find it so life changing?

Join me tomorrow! A couple of my team leaders are doing a live presentation tomorrow (Thursday) night at 6pm Pacific time if you want to watch. It’s only 1/2 an hour and they are going to be talking about the different products. You can see it at https://youtu.be/9YYzEXykJ8E

(Let me know if you do, so I can make sure that you get entered to win the prizes.)

I love all of the adorable animals that can be made with this versatile stamp set and matching thinlets. It was easy to make a card featuring my two dogs, Sadie the Great Dane and Daisy the Yellow Lab. (Though Sadie’s ears are shorter in real life and Daisy’s are longer.)
