Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I hope that the first day of 2018 is treating you well. I have a quick and elegant New Year’s card to share with you today.

Happy 2018 by Yapha

Stamps: Great Greetings (ret.)
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Thick Whisper White, Gold Glimmer Paper
Other: Large Number Framelits, Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Gold Embossing Powder

We pretty much always spend New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day at home (and this year was no exception), so I am submitting this for the Global Design Project Home for the Holidays theme.

Are you setting any goals for the new year? Are they SMART goals? If you haven’t heard that acronym before, I explain it in the video below. If any of your goals or resolutions are about getting healthy, I’d be honored to partner with you on your journey. Send me an email or leave me a comment below.

Stamp Review Crew: Bella & Friends Edition

It’s time for another  Stamp Review Crew blog hop! This time we are featuring the Bella & Friends Stamp Set. You may have just arrived from Martha Inchley’s Blog, or if you are going backwards from Lou Kitzelman’s Blog. No worries, even if you are starting here. All of the blogs link in a circle, so you won’t miss a single amazing project. If you get stuck, you can always click the link to the Stamp Review Crew to take you to the master list.

We have three dogs — two Great Danes and a Yellow Lab. I colored this cutie to look a bit like our Lab Daisy, because there was no way I was going to be able to make her look like a Great Dane!

Magical Unicorn Thank You for Inky Friends

One of the things I like best about my almost 11 years as a Stampin’ Up demonstrator is the friends I have made. Over the years and through the computer (and sometimes in real life), I have formed friendships with some amazing women. We have been doing blog hops for about nine years now and today we are starting a new chapter with a monthly sketch or color challenge, based on samples from the various catalogs. Here is my card for the very first challenge, using some of the gorgeous DSP from the upcoming Occasions Catalog which starts January 3rd.

Unicorn Thank You by Yapha

Stamps: Thoughtful Banners
Ink: Fresh Fig, Basic Gray, Powder Pink
Paper: Powder Pink, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper
Other: Duet Banner Punch

Here is the first sketch for the very first Inky Friends Design Challenge. I hope that you will come play along!

Hanukkah Coffee

Today is the last day of Hanukkah (last night we light all eight candles) and I have one last Hanukkah card for you. This is based on an amazing card by my friend Miriam.

Hanukkah Coffee by Yapha

Stamps: Seasonal Lantern
Ink: Dapper Denim
Paper: Dapper Denim, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper, Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper
Other: Layering Circles Framelits, Coffee Cup Framelits, Dapper Denim Runched Ribbon

Doesn’t the background paper look like candles? I thought it totally did! I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and the theme of Favorite Holiday Image from SUO Challenges.

Is getting healthy one of your goals for 2018? If so, I would love to share with you what worked for me. Over the past three years I have turned my life around — lost weight, got off meds, and I have more energy than I ever thought possible. Leave me a message or send me an email, I’d love to help you on this journey. If I can do it, anyone can!

I am officially on Winter Break! Whoo hoo! That means I have some time to stamp, so I broke out some of my new goodies and played along with a couple challenges. All of the blogs link in a circle, so you won’t miss a single amazing project. If you get stuck, you can always click this link to take you to the master list.

I am happy to represent the month of September, which always makes me think of Back to School time. We don’t have a current back to school set, but we do have several stamps that work well. For this first card, I went with school supplies.

My second card features Fall leaves, which I miss so much living here in Los Angeles! (I don’t miss winter though, I’m totally fine with out it. I just miss Fall.) I used the Triple Time stamping technique — I haven’t done that one in a while!

Fall Easel Thank You Card

I love having the day before Thanksgiving off work! I went to the grocery store, started my cooking, and even had time to play in the stamp room a little! Today’s card is a fall thank you note that I made for three challenges. You can see it from the front:

Menorah in the Window

I was supposed to be in a Hanukkah blog hop today, with a bunch of other Jewish Stampin’ Up demonstrators, but my blog decided to take a vacation for a few days. As you can see, it is back up. (Yay!!!) This is the card I had prepared.

Hanukkah Window Card by Yapha

Ink: Versamark, Marina Mist, Crushed Curry
Paper: Thick Whisper White, Marina Mist, So Saffron

This is also perfect for The Paper Players Warm and Cozy challenge. The So Saffron piece behind the window definitely makes it look cozy. Although I am not part of the hop right now, you can still hop along!

You are Priceless for the Inky Friends

Welcome to the Inky Friends Presenting the Gifts Blog Hop! You may have just arrived from Sharleen’s Blog, or if you are going backwards from Sarah’s Blog. No worries, even if you are starting here. All of the blogs link in a circle, so you won’t miss a single amazing project. If you get stuck, you can always click this link to take you to the master list.

I used the You are Priceless stamp set to make a couple of gift card holders. This set is perfect for gifting to my Plexus team, since the top ranks in the company are all named after jewels. Diamond is the highest, with Sapphire, Emerald, and Ruby just below. I used these jewels all in my first gift card holder, the always fun Twisted Gift Card Holder. I stamped the DSP myself to reflect the correct jewels. I used Wink of Stella on the diamonds, though you can’t really see it in the pictures.

Mazel Tov to Evan!

It is my nephew’s bar mitzvah next weekend, so of course I made him a card! The words are from the long retired Mazel Tov set by STampin’ Up and the images are from Papertrey Ink’s Mazel Tov and Mazel Tov Additions.

Mazel Tov on Your Bar Mitzvah by Yapha

Stamps: Mazel Tov (ret. Stampin’ Up), Mazel Tov (PaperTrey), Mazel Tov Additions
Ink: Night of Navy, Soft Sky, VersaMark
Paper: Thick Whisper White, Soft Sky, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Copper Foil

I used this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

In other news, Plexus has announced a new children’s vitamin! It is a actually a 2-in-1, containing probiotics as well. It is chewable, no sugar, non-GMO, no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners. And I tried it myself — it tastes pretty good! Let me know if you would like more information about it.
