What a nice bunch of pretty spring colors from ColourQ this week!

Eve and her friends have recently taken up sewing at recess a couple of times a week, thanks to their fabulous teacher who helped them get started with it. I knew these colors would be great to make a sweet page with a picture of the girls sewing. Their school uniforms are bright red and blue though, so I made the picture black and white. This way it wouldn’t clash with the pastels of the scrapbook page.

I used paper from the digital versions of the Peach Parfait Patterns, Spice Cake, Twitterpatted, and Play Date Designer Series Papers to create this. I love that the digital version is always available, even after the physical version retires!

A great set of blues and purples for the ColourQ challenge today. I decided to combine it with a scrapbook sketch challenge that was on Stampin’ Addicts a few weeks ago. Isn’t a fun layout?

These colors seemed wintery to me, and I found a great set of pictures from several years ago, when we went to visit Lexington and Concord in the snow. The bridge in the picture is the spot where the first shots of the American Revolution were fired. I substituted Pool Party for Cool Caribbean.

This past Tuesday was Math-Science Night at school. All of the parents were invited to come with their children and take special half-hour long classes, one in math and one in science. The teachers provided a variety of different classes for them to enjoy. For the science class that I taught, I decided to present an overview of women scientists through the ages. Instead of going in depth on just a few of these amazing women, I created a presentation that gave snippets about 30 different women scientists, from the 1700s until the present day. I thought it would be really fun to make it look like an old fashioned scrapbook, so I created the presentation in My Digital Studio. I am really pleased with how it came out!  I exported the presentation in to a movie, and uploaded it to YouTube to share with you.

Great springtime colors from ColourQ this week!

I was super excited to see that they matched a picture I had from last weekend of Eve & her friend Simone and the cupcake sale at Simone’s house that Eve helped out with.

I used the digital versions of the Cupcake Punch, the Labels Framelits, and the Sweet Shop designer series paper on this page.

I am in the midst of a big project in My Digital Studio right now. We have Math/Science night coming up at school next week, and for one of my classes I am giving a presentation on Women Scientists. I decided to use My Digital Studio to make it look like an old-timey scrapbook. I’m about half way down and it is looking really cool! I promise that I’ll show you after it is done. In the meantime, I will share with you one of the pages fro the My Digital Studio calendar that I just made my parents. Did you know that you can start the calendar in any month that you want? It’s fantastic, because I always like to print my calendars during Sale-a-Bration, so I can earn more free stuff! I was able to start their calendar with March 2012 and have it end in February 2013! Plenty of time to make the next one! This is my page for May, which has both my Mom’s birthday and mother’s day. This is what the JPG of the page looks like:

I have to say, I absolutely love the quality of our calendars. They are so sturdy and the printing is gorgeous. You can add any pictures or text that you want to the date grid, which is fantastic!! I’ll show you a few more pages sometime soon. I think I love My Digital Studio more and more each time that I use it!
