Anniversary

My parents celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary last weekend — quite an accomplishment! The card that I made them had to use yellow, of course, since that is my mom’s favorite color. I used Yo-Yo Yellow, which is her current favorite. I’ll have to get her opinion of Crushed Curry, one of the brand new in-colors!

For this card I used the “Happy Anniversary” sentiment from Hugs & Wishes. This super versatile set of six phrases will be gone forever after June 30th, so order today!

For today’s Mojo Monday sketch, I started by looking at my Designer Series paper. I came across the great gingham in the Bella Rose pack, which happened to be next to the Chocolate Chip polka dot piece. This reminded me of a super cute card I had seen made with these and the bear from Under the Stars. Since I hadn’t used that bear in quite a while, I decided to ink him up! Here is today’s sketch:

Ink: StazOn Black, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Bella Rose DSP
Accessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Gold Brads, 1 1/4″ Circle Punch, 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch

I love this bear! I really need to use him more. Thanks for looking!

March 9th is my brother and sister-in-law’s sixth wedding anniversary. I used the colors from this week’s color challenge over on Splitcoast Stamper’s for the card — Kiwi Kiss, Pink Passion, and Chocolate Chip. I stamped the hearts with Polka Dot Punches and then used the coordinating Full Heart Punch to punch them out. Polka Dot Punches is one of your  Sale-a-Bration choices, free with any order of $50 or more, and only available until the end of March. I added a touch of elegance with the satin Kiwi Kiss ribbon and Bella Rose paper cut with the Top Note Die. Did you know the ribbon is double-sided? Yep! The other side is vanilla! Here is my card:

Happy Anniversary Joey and Abby! And many more!

When I saw Kristina Werner’s color challenge today, I knew that I wanted to do something elegant. So I looked through my stamp sets for something to make I found Together Forever. I just love the lines on the flowers on this set and its matching wheel. There is something in the way the lines are drawn that is just perfection in my eyes! I combined that with the eyelet border punch and some taffeta ribbon. I chose not to put a sentiment on so it could be used for a variety of occassions. Today’s colors are:

Yes, I will keep showing you cards from the Love You Much Bundle. You might as well give in and decide to get it. Especially since you can save on shipping if you order it on December 23 — the first day it is available and the last day of the free shipping promo. Both of today’s cards use the punch in the bundle — the three hearts on the punch line up perfectly with the three hearts on the stamp. They also use the Top Note Die. Between the punch and the die, it is so easy to make quick and elegant cards!

Stampin’ Up has a new Sneak Peek bundle coming out, and it is available BEFORE the new catalog starts in January! As a demonstrator, I was allowed to purchase it early, and I just found out that I am now able to share the details with you! (Want stamps early? Think about signing up to be a demonstrator…)

It is called the “Love You Much Bundle” and it includes an adorable six piece stamp set, a pack of Candy Lane Designer Series Paper, and heart punch that matches the stamp with three hearts on it in the set. I am a sucker for punches that match stamp sets, and this one is so cute! Here is the first card I made with this new set:

Don’t forget, you can get free shipping on this order, because all orders of $70 or more get free shipping now through December 23! Two other specials going on right now — 10% off of the retiring stamp sets, now through December 23 and 20% off of the sets in the catalog sampler, now through January 18. Confused? It’s that time of the week again, for Kristina Werner’s color inspiration. It was the perfect thing to do while I was waiting to see what is going to be on sale for Stampin’ Up’s Holiday Extravaganza. Here are this week’s colors:

I don’t have any Sahara Sand (I know, it’s a shocker!), so I substituted a metallic, as suggested. I used gold. Here is what I came up with. It could be a Valentine or an Anniversary card.

cc32

Stamps: Baroque Motifs, So Swirly Jumbo Wheel
Paper: Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red
Ink: Riding Hood Red, VersaMark
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Top Note Bigz Die, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon

I made the gold edge around the die cut by coloring it with my VersaMarker pen, and then embossing it.

Hope you like it!
