I was pleased to see that Stampin’ Up included a Hanukkah sentiment and menorah stamp in the holiday catalog this year. It is part of a variety of elements in the Seasonal Lantern stamp set. Some of the elements are perfect for fall, so I usedthem to make a birthday card for my sister-in-law, whose birthday was yesterday.
Stamps: Seasonal Lantern
Ink: Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Very Vanila, Copper Foil
Other: Happy Birthday Thinlit
Since Hanukkah is eight days long, I thought it would be fun to create a set of eight cards, one for each night, with the menorah stamp. A corresponding number of candles is lit each night, and with a little masking I was able to make the cards match. Here is a look at all eight:
And here is a close up of the first and last: (I realized that I put the first one on the right, like the candles are lit and how Hebrew is read, instead of on the left like one would expect in English)
Stamps: Seasonal Lantern
Ink: Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Soft Sky, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Foil Frenzy DSP
Other: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Layering Circles Framelits
