Stamp Review Crew: Merry Cafe Edition

Posted by on September 17, 2017

It’s time for another  Stamp Review Crew blog hop! This time we are featuring the Merry Cafe Stamp Set. You may have just arrived from Mike Funke’s Blog, or if you are going backwards from Dawn Tidd’s Blog. No worries, even if you are starting here. All of the blogs link in a circle, so you won’t miss a single amazing project. If you get stuck, you can always click the link to the Stamp Review Crew to take you to the master list.

One of the reasons Tanya told me she chose this set was because it has an apple so that I could make a Rosh Hashanah card. Truthfully, that never even occurred to me. But once she said that, I started thinking of ways that I could use this tiny apple. I actually did a little stamp surgery and cut the words “Apple” and “Cider” away from the outline of the apple to make it easier to use. And the set even has a “Happy New Year” sentiment! (This one I didn’t cut, I just masked the “And” with Washi tape.) 5778 is the Hebrew year that it is turning on Wednesday night, so I thought this would be the perfect time to try out the eclipse technique.

Wow! At first I thought you masked that little apple over and over. Stamp surgery is a much better route. Great card and way to show off the set versatility.

This New Year’s card is awesome, Yapha! Love how you added the honeycomb TIEF in the background to get your apple and honey incorporated. I look forward to seeing how you find a way to make this card every year.
