Hanukkah Blog Hop!

Posted by on November 27, 2016

I am super excited to be participating in a Hanukkah blog hop with other Jewish Stampin’ Up demonstrators! A huge thank you to Miriam Permut for organizing this! You may have just come from Debby Hoffman’s blog, or Pascale Godot’s blog, if you are going backwards.

My first card uses the sketch from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches and the colors from Stamps Ink Paper. I used both the gorgeous Copper Foil and the Copper Embossing Powder.

Stamps: Every Occasion, Thoughtful Banners
Ink: VersaMark
Paper: Pool Party, Whisper White, Copper Foil
Other: Banners Duet Punch, Stitched Shapes Framelits, 2″ Circle Punch, Festive Embossing Folder, Copper Embossing Powder

My second card I actually made over the summer for the Splitcoast Stampers Dare to Get Dirty challenges. It uses the Faux Metal technique. (Can you tell I’m really loving copper for Hanukkah cards this year?)

Hanukkah Faux Metal by Yapha

Stamps: Every Occasion, Jewish Celebrations
Ink: VersaMark
Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper
Other: Copper Embossing Powder, Night of Navy Baker’s Twine, 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, Crop-a-dile

Thank you for hopping with us today! Your next stop is Pascale Godot’s blog.

Wow Yapha! I love your cards! So gorgeous!

Yapha, I love how you dry embossed the copper foil with the embossing folder. Such rich textures! I’ve never heat embossed on foil, but your second card has convinced me to try it!

  3. Miriam

I love both of your cards! They both are so rich with texture. The faux metal technique is very impressive! I will have to investigate how you achieved this look. Thank you so much for being an original Hanukkah blog hop participant and participating in this one, too.

So beautiful, Yapha!. I really love the copper as an alternative metal. (huge fan of rose gold). Your cards have always inspired me! Hope to see you soon.
PS: thanks for all your help and encouragement.

  5. Debby Hoffman

I love the faux metal look! I will definitely have to try that! The Fiesta embossing folder would also make a cute Matzah for Passover!

The gold used on the cards is absolutely stunning. Beautiful cards.
