Stamp Review Crew: Foxy Friends Edition

It’s time again for another Stamp Review Crew blog hop! This time we are featuring the Foxy Friends Stamp Set. You may have just arrived from Jessica William’s Blog, or if you are going backwards from Martha Inchley’s Blog. No worries, even if you are starting here. All of the blogs link in a circle, so you won’t miss a single amazing project. If you get stuck, you can always click the link to the Stamp Review Crew to take you to the master list.

The hardest kind of card to make, for me and many other stampers, is a single layer card. They are unforgiving, because nothing can be covered up by layering. Luckily, this adorable stamp set has a matching punch, which makes masking easier. So, in celebration of this blog hop, I decided to attempt a single layer card! (And it came out pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself!) I have pictures of the process below.

Foxy Friends by Yapha

Stamps: Foxy Friends
Ink: Calypso Coral, Soft Sky, Archival Basic Black
Paper: Thick Whisper White
Other: Fox Builder Punch, Layering Squares Framelits

I started out by creating a mask with four square openings by using the Layering Squares Framelits.

Next, I used blue painters’ tape to hold this down on my card front and cover the edges.

I stamped my foxes with Calypso Coral.

Then I used the Fox Builder Punch to punch pieces out of Post It notes to cover them up.

Finally, I sponged Soft Sky ink over each of the openings.

Thank you for hopping with us today! Your next stop is over at Martha Inchley’s Blog. I can’t wait to see what projects she made!
