Monday is Pi Day, since it is March 14th — get it? 3.14? This year is an epic one too, since the first few digits of Pi (3.14159) round up to 3.1416 or 3.14.16 which looks a lot like March 14, 2016. We always celebrate at school, with the 6th graders memorizing as many digits of Pi as they can. That said, I was super excited to see that this week’s challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges was in celebration of Pi Day! I don’t believe I’ve ever made a card for it before. My daughter will probably give this to one of her math teachers.
Stamps: Endless Birthday Wishes
Ink: Versamark, White Craft
Paper: Basic Black, Gold Glimmer Paper
Other: Large Number Framelits, 1/4″ Circle Punch
I wanted it to be a circle since Pi is such an important part of circle formulas, and I also used the blackboard technique to give it a school feel. Not that schools actually have blackboards anymore… Happy Pi Day, however you celebrate!
