A Thank You Card for Kwame Alexander

Posted by on June 28, 2015

Tonight is the Newbery/Caldecott Banquet, where the 2015 winners are honored and give their acceptance speeches. As part of this year’s Newbery committee, I made a card to thank Mr. Alexander for writing such a wonderful book as The Crossover. Of course it had to have basketballs on it!

Basketball Card by Yapha

Stamps: Lovely Amazing You
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Whisper White
Other: 2-1/2″ Circle Punch, 1-1/2″ Circle Punch, 1″ Circle Punch, 1/2″ Circle Punch, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder

I used the sketch over at Stampin’ Celebration Challenge for this card. It was amazing how perfect it was!
