Today’s card features the super cute lion from Zoo Babies. I wanted to mat him on something more mane like than a scallop circle, so I used a trick I learned a while ago, when I made this cute lion punch art. Punch your scallop circle, then use a PostIt note to hold it back in the punch so that you can punch it again, but this time offset it have the points go down the middle of each scallop.
Stamps: Zoo Babies
Ink: Hello Honey, Basic Black, Marina Mist
Paper: Hello Honey, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Subtles Designer Series Paper Pack, Regals Designer Series Paper Pack
Other: 1-3/4″ Circle Punch, 2″ Circle Punch, 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, Hello Honey Quilted Ribbon
I used the great colors from this week’s Fab Friday challenge. These would also be perfect for Hanukkah or even Rosh Hashanah.
I love the packs of Designer Series Paper that Stampin’ Up puts out for each color family. These polka dots are from the old version. The new ones are even cuter! I can not wait to get my hands on them!
