Thank You Note in Wood & Red

Posted by on February 12, 2015

Do you ever see a sketch that makes you want to just sit down and stamp? That happened to me to night when I saw the amazing sketch over at CAS! I paired it with the colors from Pals Paper Arts since I need to make a Thank You note for my husband to send.

The colors in this sketch are perfect for wood, and since my husband is a woodworker, I decided to let that be the primary focus of the card. The pop of red was just right for the sentiment.

Wooden thank you note by Yapha

Stamps: Lots of Thanks
Ink: Real Red, Soft Suede
Paper: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Other: Woodgrain Embossing Folder

That is a really fun sketch. I think I’m going to have to make some more cards with it!

Your card is terrific! The color scheme works great for woodgrain, and the texture accents the angles of the sketch. I’m so glad you shared your artwork with us at CAS Colours and Sketches! 🙂
