Stampin’ Addicts Occasions Catalog Blog Hop

Posted by on January 16, 2015

Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Addicts Occasions Catalog Blog Hop! We are excited to be featuring some fun stamp sets from the new Occasions Catalog. You may have arrived here from Paula Wrights’s Blog where she featured the Crazy About You bundle or perhaps Heidi Baks’s Blog (if you are going backwards), or you may be starting here. In any case, all of the blogs link together in a circle so you won’t miss a stop!

I am excited to be featuring the great new alphabet stamp set, Sophisticated Serifs. This photopolymer stamp set has 65 stamps, including two sizes of capital letters — the big one is a little over an inch high, and the smaller one is just under 3/4″. The obvious use for this stamp set is for monogram cards, so I am going to show you three cards that are NOT monograms.

My first card is a patriotic card. This could be used for the 4th of July or for sending to a person serving in the armed forces. It would also be easy to change the colors and the letters and use it for just about anything.

Stamps: Sophisticated Serifs
Ink: Night of Navy, Real Red
Paper: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Other: Oval Framelits, Itty Bitty Punch Pack (star), Basic Rhinestones

My next card is a good luck card. It is easy to write short phrases with these stamps, especially since they are photopolymer, so you can see exactly where you are stamping. This was supposed to be the gold at the end of the rainbow.

Good Luck by Yapha

Stamps: Sophisticated Serifs
Ink: Gold Encore, Soft Sky
Paper: Crumb Cake, Soft Sky, Whisper White
Other: Lucky Stars Embossing Folder, Real Red 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon, Pumpkin Pie 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon, Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon, Pear Pizzazz 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon, Island Indigo 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon, Rich Razzleberry 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon

My final card for today is a wedding card for my sister-in-law, who is getting married tomorrow. Luckily, the smaller letters fit inside the Sweetheart Punch. I used their wedding colors to make the card.
