Nothing starts the weekend off better than figure out a way to combine three challenges into one gorgeous card (if I do say so myself). I took the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches and combined it with this week’s theme challenge from As You See It (snowflakes) as well as the Friday Mashup (combine the colors Basic Gray or Smoky Slate with Silver and some embossing).
I combined BOTH Smoky Slate and Basic Gray with the silver foil paper and silver embossing. I would never have thought to make a card in these colors, but I have to say that I am really pleased with how classy looking and elegant it turned out.
Stamps: Mingle All the Way, Endless Wishes
Ink: VersaMark, Basic Gray
Paper: Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Silver Foil
Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Silver Baker’s Twine
This Silver Baker’s Twine is not the regular one from the catalog. This one is leftover from the November My Paper Pumpkin Kit. It is white and silver, as opposed to the other one that is more off white. It is also a little finer. Just another reason to subscribe to My Paper Pumpkin!
