Easy Christmas Shaker Card with Tutorial!

Posted by on October 17, 2014

At my last Stampin’ Up party, the hostess wanted to make a shaker card. I need something that would be easy enough for a group to make, so I came up with this cutie, using the Shaker Frames.

Stamps: Endless Wishes
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz
Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, All Is Calm Designer Series Paper, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
Other: Shaker Frames, Window Sheets, Cherry Cobbler 1″ Sheer Linen Ribbon, 1-3/4″ Circle Punch, 2″ Circle Punch, 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch

I also took pictures along the way, so you can see how to make your own. First,  glue everything to the front of your card. That Whisper White circle was punched with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch.

Next, place the largest Shaker Frame around the outside of your punched piece.

Then, put a pinch of Dazzling Diamonds glitter in the center of the frame.

Next, remove the backing from the Shaker Frame. Take a 2″ circle punched from a Window Sheet and adhere it firmly over the circle.

Finally, put the scalloped circle of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper over the outside. The easiest way to create this is to first punch the inside with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch, and then punch the outside with the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch.
