Negative Space Ribbon Pumpkins

Posted by on October 12, 2014

Happy Sunday! It’s time for another Paper Players Challenge, and this week Ann has some great colors for us. She used three of the new In Colors that are just perfect for Fall cards.

I knew I wanted to make some pumpkins with these colors, but instead of stamping them, I used the negative space of the pumpkins from the Fun Fall Framelits, and filled it in with the In Color stitched satin ribbon. It is such gorgeous ribbon, and I think the lines on it look especially pumpkiny.

Ribbon Pumpkin Card by Yapha

Stamps: Goods Greetings
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist
Paper: Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, Very Vanilla
Other: Mossy Meadow Stitched Satin Ribbon, Tangelo Twist Stitched Satin Ribbon, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Fall Fun Framelits, Bitty Banner Framelits

I hope that you will play along with us this week. I can’t wait to see what you make with these colors!

Another great idea for this set. I had to look twice at the pumpkins, wondering how you did that. Then I read the post that it was ribbon! So clever!

You always find fun ways to use ribbon. I rarely purchase any because I’m bow challenged, but I love how you used it. Fantastic card!

What a clever way to make the pumpkins, Yapha! Love the texture from the ribbon and how you used just a touch of green for the stem–perfect!
