Thankful for Fall Leaves

Posted by on September 7, 2014

Happy Sunday! It is time for another Paper Players challenge, and this week Ann has a theme challenge for us!

I love fall. The crisp air. The gorgeous leaves. My birthday. Unfortunately, here in Southern California we don’t really get a true fall, so I’m forced to paper craft my own fall leaves. I crumpled up each of the die cut leaves and then smoothed them out to add a leafy texture.

Thankful for Fall Leaves by Yapha

Stamps: Good Greetings, Hardwood
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Autumn Accents Bigz Die, Bitty Banner Framelits

I hope that you will come join us at The Paper Players. I can’t wait to see what Fall cards you make!

Fabulous “Fall” card, the background is perfect and your creative idea of crinkling the leaves and then smoothing them out is great.

Hello and thanks for your recent visit & comment & welcome to my 1st Paper Players challenge. I’m from So. Florida, living in South Carolina, so I understand you about the lack of fall color. However, you’ve done a mighty substitution with this pretty fall card. Love the detail about crumpling up the die leaves, such pretty colors and the very realistic colors I will soon be seeing in my area. Love that woodgrain behind the lovely leaves. TFS & hope you’ll visit again, and that I can join in with Paper Players again soon. Hugs

Yapha, I love the crinkled leaves against your woodgrain background. I love the fact that you clustered the leaves down the side of the card, too.

Your leaves are wonderful Yapha! They look just like they’ve been freshly picked and loving pressed into a book. So pretty!

The Hardwood background really makes this card fantastic! Maybe I will have to send you an envelope of fall leaves when they start turning 😉

I love your card and that you crumpled the leaves too. Beautiful!
