Newbery Award Winner Scrapbook Page

Posted by on July 31, 2014

A big thank you to Beth and the design team over at MDS Monday for picking my Spring Concert scrapbook page as their  MDS Monday master last week! This week’s sketch is super cute but not my usual scrapbook page. I have a hard time with random images around the pictures. But I like the way theirs looks, so I’ll give it a shot.

One of the great things about going to library conferences is getting to meet all sorts of authors and illustrators. I didn’t feel like standing in any of the super long lines, so you can imagine my surprise when Eve and I came around a corner and saw Kate DiCamillo and Keith Campbell, the author and illustrator of this year’s Newbery Award winning Flora & Ulysses,  sitting by themselves at a table! They were kind enough to take a quick picture with us.

I used the Everybody’s Business digital designer series paper for the background. Don’t you love the look of the splattered notebook paper?
