A few months ago, I made a personalized cupcake shaped card for one of Eve’s friends. It was super cute, and I put it in a safe place because her birthday wasn’t for awhile. Unfortunately, the party is this weekend, and I have no idea where the card is! So I made her another one. I used the super cute colors from the Fab Friday Challenge and this week’s challenge from The Technique Twist, which is to make a Building Block Card.
I had never made one of these cards before — they always looked super tricky. But I followed the tutorial, and it was much easier than I thought it would it be. I used the new Little Letters Thinlets for my words, plus the number 2 from the File Tab Thinlets. This is the front of the card.
You can see the “building blocks” when you partially open it.
And this is what it looks like when it is opened up all the way.
Stamps: Endless Birthday Wishes
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana
Paper: Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, 2013-2015 In Color Designer Series Paper, Brights Designer Series Paper
Other: Scallop Tag Topper Punch, Little Letter Thinlets, File Folder Thinlets, Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Simply Scored
The white strips on the sides are for Eve to write her message. I was sure that I would find that cupcake card after making this one, but so far no luck. Maybe it will turn up after the party.
