Make a Wish Beach Card

Posted by on July 6, 2014

I am super excited to announce that today is my first day as a guest designer over at The Paper Players. I am honored to be a part of their team for the next three months. Since it is the first week of the month, we have a theme challenge — Beach.

There is some great wavy paper in the Maritime pack, so I paired this with some torn Baked Brown Sugar card stock for sand. That big Daffodil Delight circle could be the sun, or maybe a beach ball, whichever works better for you. This might be a fun card to send to someone in the middle of the winter, when they wish they were at the beach!

Beach Wishes by Yapha

Stamps: Perfect Pennants
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana
Paper: Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Maritime Designer Series Paper
Other: Circle Framelits, Coastal Cabana Baker’s Twine, Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon

I hope that you will come play along with us over at The Paper Players. I can’t wait to see what you make!

What a fun card, Yapha! I love how you created sand and sky with nothing more than paper. Hmm… that circle makes me think of a volleyball on the beach and your twine is the net! So happy to have you on our team at The Paper Players!

Yapha, I love the use of the DSP with the torn strips of Baked Brown Sugar. They work so well together and really give the impression of the beach and water. I also love the way you tied the yellow from the circle with the ribbon. Gorgeous. So glad you joined us as a GD
