About a year ago, I pinned this super cute tree card made with Betsy’s Blossoms. I never got around to making my version, until today! It fits perfectly in with the Friday Mashup this week, which is to create a project that features trees and/or embossing (dry or heat). Since so many of these elements are retiring, I figured now would be a great time to make one of these!
Stamps: Betsy’s Blossoms, Delightful Dozen
Ink: Gumball Green, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso
Paper: Gumball Green, Soft Sky, Whisper White, Neutrals Core’dination Card Stock, Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper
Other: 2-1/2″ Circle Punch, 1-3/4″ Circle Punch, 1″ Circle Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Oval Framelits, Woodgrain Embossing Folder
I used the Oval Framelits to make the tree trunk. I put the two biggest ones (not scalloped) on either side to make the trunk with the curve between them. (And then I dropped the third biggest one behind a huge pile of stuff and can’t find it. But that’s another story…) For the sentiment, I stamped it on a strip of paper, and then put that through the Decorative Label Punch, so it only got part of the design.
