There is a really fun challenge over at MDS Monday this week — to use My Digital Studio to create a shaped card. Heidi has some great videos over there showing a few different ways to create your card. I decided to make a cupcake shaped card. I designed it completely in My Digital Studio, printed it on white card stock, and then cut it out. This is what my MDS page looked like before I printed it. I used an 8.5″x11″ page to design it.
I could have made it a hybrid card, and added the ribbon and sentiment after I printed it. I wanted to keep it nice and flat, though. This is my card after I printed, cut , and folded it.
I was looking through my digital punches before I made this, and there are just so many that would make cute shaped cards! I was thinking about all of the states in the Nifty Fifty set. How fun would those be for shaped cards? I am definitely going to make more with this technique.
