Hello and welcome to the 6th Annual Stampin’ Addicts Retiring Stamp Sets blog hop! You may have just arrived from Adriana’s blog, where she featured the super cute Blast Off, or from Paula’s blog, if you are going backwards. Or perhaps you are starting here. No worries. All of the blogs link in a circle and you will be able to find your way back to wherever you started. The most important thing to keep in mind is that none of these stamp sets will be available after June 4th! (And truthfully, many have sold out already.)
I am featuring my favorite fall stamp sets, Gently Falling. I miss the changing colors here in Los Angeles, and this set has allowed me to create many colorful fall leaves. It is a two-step stamp set, with an inside and outside for each leaf. I will recap some of my past favorite projects with this set, but first, a new card. This one uses the current sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, and with its vibrant greens shows that this set can work equally well for a Spring card!
Stamps: Gently Falling, Woodgrain
Ink: Pear Pizzaz, Garden Green, Crumb Cake
Paper: Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper
Other: Pear Pizzazz 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, Circle Framelits
In addition to Gently Falling, the Woodgrain stamp, Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper, and ALL of the 3/8″ taffeta ribbon is retiring. Stock up now!
One of my favorite projects with this set is the first project that I made for Craft Project Central. It includes a card, envelope, and tea lights in a matching box.
Stamps: Gently Falling
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Vellum
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
Other: Labels Collection Framelits, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Window Sheets, Envelope Punch Board, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding
Of course, you do not have to use both the insides and the outsides. This next card uses only the inside stamps from the set.
Stamps: Gently Falling, Day of Gratitude
Ink: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard, Cajun Craze
Paper: More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
Other: Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding
And here is an example of a card that just uses the outline stamps:
Stamps: Gently Falling, Truly Grateful
Ink: Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, So Saffron
Paper: Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla
Other: Wood Grain Embossing Folder
As you can see, this stamp set is gorgeous and versatile. If you don’t already have it, you will for sure want to add it to your stamp collection! Your next stop on the blog hop is over at Paula’s blog, where she will be featuring Happy Day.
