Three Generations Stamping with the Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit

Posted by on April 5, 2014

Have you tried any of the new card kits from Stampin’ Up yet? They are really great. We went back East to visit my parents over Spring Break, and I brought the Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit with me. It is a fantastic kit! It makes 20 cards, and contains everything you need, including an acrylic block and ink. The stamps are cute and versatile, too. So on our last night there, Eve, my mom, and I all sat down to make some cards.

We kept the instructions out, which give some great suggestions of the cards you can make, but we pretty much made out own. Especially Eve! These are the ones she made. Sorry that the picture is a little blurry. I hope you can still see her creativity.

A big kudos to my mom, Alice Nussbaum. She is a fabulous needlepointer and Judaic needlepoint designer, among other things. This was her first foray into stamping and card-making. Don’t you think she did a fantastic job?

Below are my cards. I went for a pretty clean look. I was so impressed with how everything came together so easily, and of course with Stampin’ Up’s signature matchy-matchiness. (Is that a word? It really should be.)

I highly recommend this kit. It is great as a gift, for about age 10 and up, or for yourself if you want a quick, easy, and portable stamp pack!
