Stamp Review Crew: The Open Sea Edition

It’s time again for another Stamp Review Crew blog hop! This time we are featuring the set The Open Sea, which is available in wood mount, clear mount, and digital. (I will be using the digital version for my projects today.) You may have just arrived from Holly Krautkremer’s blog, or if you are going backwards from Mary Rindal’s blog. No worries, even if you are starting here. All of the blogs link in a circle, so you won’t miss a single amazing project. If you get stuck, you can always click the link to the Stamp Review Crew to take you to the master list.

My first project today is a scrapbook page. These stamps were perfect for a fishing trip we took off the coast of Massachusetts. I repeated one stamp to create the background in addition to that gorgeous ship. (And no, the boat we were on looked nothing like that!) This uses the current sketch from MDS Monday.

My second project is actually created by my daughter Eve. Her fifth grade class has been writing journal entries as if they were Kit Tyler while reading The Witch of Blackbird Pond. Before they turn in their final project, they needed to make a cover for their journal. Eve used the ship from The Open Sea to create this cover in My Digital Studio. It looks pretty close to the ship that Kit came to America on. I love when she can use my supplies for school work!

Thank you for hopping through! Your next stop is over to Mary Rindal’s blog. I can’t wait to see what she has made!
