Gold at the End of the Rainbow

Posted by on March 15, 2014

There is a really fun challenge from The Friday Mashup this week, to use the sketch below with rainbows. It’s perfect for a St. Patrick’s Day card, too!

I had totally forgotten about the Luck stamp from the Occasions Alphabet until I saw a few other stampers use it on their St. Patrick’s Day cards recently. Thank goodness for Pinterest! It does work perfectly here! I also used the Cloudy Day embossing folder. Although it is not in the catalog, you can still find it on the Clearance Rack at a greatly reduced price!

Ribbon Rainbow Luck Card by Yapha

Stamps: Occasions Alphabet
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky Whisper White, Gold Foil
Other: Real Red 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Wild Wasabi 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Pacific Point 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Rich Razzleberry 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Cloudy Day Embossing Folder, Banner Framelits, Largre Oval Punch, Scalloped Oval Punch

I know that rainbows usually have orange in them, unfortunately this ribbon isn’t available in either Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, or even Calypso Coral. Rather than use a different type of ribbon, I decided to skip the orange altogether. I also had to orient my card horizontally, because of the direction of the clouds.
