Woodgrain Anniversary Card

Posted by on January 13, 2014

There is a fun color challenge over at Sunday Stamps this week — Night of Navy, Silver, and Strawberry Slush. Not an ordinary color combo at all, which of course made me want to try it.

Since my anniversary is tomorrow (18 years, as you may have guessed by looking at the card), I figured that this would be a good time to make a card for my husband. And the colors were just perfect for that! Of course I had to use the woodgrain embossing folder, since he loves woodworking almost as much as he loves me.

Woodgrain Anniversary Card by Yapha

Paper: Night of Navy, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper
Other: Hearts Collection Framelits, Typeset Alphabet Dies, Woodgrain Embossing Folder

No stamps or ink on this one, just paper and my Big Shot! I glued the hearts on to the Whisper White before running them all through the Big Shot to emboss them. The finished card is 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″, so I’ll make a quick envelope for it with my Envelope Punch Board later.
