I am super excited to announce that I am part of a new blog hop group started by my friend Tanya, called the Stamp Review Crew. We will be hopping the first and third Mondays of each month, and featuring a different stamp set each time. Today’s stamp set is Festive Flurry. Tanya was kind enough to let me play along with the digital set, since I don’t have the real rubber one. You may have arrived from Holly’s blog, or if you are traveling backwards, from Mary’s blog. Or perhaps you are starting here. In any case, the blogs all link in a circle, so you won’t miss a single one.
My first project with this set a scrapbook page. I used the sketch from MDS Monday. One of the great things about the Festive Flurry digital set is that it comes with both stamps and punches. I made the background strip with the stamps, and then added a matching punch to pop out the snowflake on top of the picture.
For my second project, I made a hybrid card. I created the background paper in My Digital Studio (white snowflakes on a Pacific Point background), and printed that out to use to create the rest of the card. It looks a little more like Brilliant Blue, but if I had ordered the print out from Stampin’ Up, it would have been color matched exactly to Pacific Point. The finished card is 4 1/4″ square.
