As soon as I saw this week’s Paper Players’ colors I knew I had to play along. How could I resist those gorgeous blues, especially when they are perfect for a Hanukkah card?
I love how the Menorah from the Jewish Celebrations stamp set fits so perfectly inside the circle in the new Circle Thinlets card. It’s like it was made for it! So of course, I had to use that.
The one thing I don’t love about this thinlet, is that it doesn’t really leave you a place to write in the card. Luckily, there is a very easy way to create an extra flap, as seen in this video by Dawn Olchefske. Here you can see the card partially open.
And here it is all the way open, with plenty of room to write.
Stamps: Jewish Celebrations
Ink: Midnight Muse
Paper: Pool Party, Midnight Muse, Whisper White, 2011-2013 In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper
Other: Circle Thinlet, 1 3/4″ Circle Punch, 2 1/2″ Circle Punch, Circle Collection Framelits
You may have noticed that the Happy Hanukkah are on separate lines. I needed them to fit in the circle, and I had a feeling that I would be using that often. I was really brave, and I actually cut my clear mount stamp in half! That way I can use it on two lines or one, without any hassle.
