Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Addicts Winter Holiday Blog Hop! We showed you the Fall Holiday items from the Holiday Catalog a few months ago, and now we are back with the Winter Holiday items. You may have arrived here from Carmen’s Blog, where she is featuring Remembering Christmas, or perhaps Sara’s blog if you are going backwards. Not to worry, even if you are starting here — all the blogs connect in a circle, so just keep going until you reach your starting point again.
I am excited to be featuring the gorgeous Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper. The colors are shades of blue with Smoky Slate, and the specialty part comes in with some shiny silver foil on two of the pieces. I was immediately drawn to this as being perfect for Hanukkah cards, particularly the designs where the snowflakes look like Jewish stars. I used that paper on these cards made with the Circle Card Thinlets.
Stamps: Jewish Celebrations
Ink: Smoky Slate
Paper: Pool Party, Whisper White, Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper
Other: Circle Card Thinlets, 2 1/2″ Circle Punch
The thin silver ribbon coordinates beautifully with this paper, as you can see on this New Year’s card.
Stamps: Best New Year
Paper: Pool Party, Island Indigo, Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper
Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Silver 1/8″ Ribbon
This paper is gorgeous enough to stand alone, with out any stamping at all, as you can see on the pocket card below. I made it quickly and easily with the new Envelope Punch Board. Even I was surprised at how quickly it came together! The finished size of the pocket is 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ and you can easily use the punch board to make an envelope big enough to hold it! (Or put it in a regular envelope. Your choice.)
Ink: Island Indigo, Smoky Slate
Paper: Island Indigo, Whisper White, Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper
Other: Envelope Punch Board, 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, 2 1/2″ Circle Punch
My final project for you today is a hexagon quilt card. I chose not to do inlaid embossing over it, because I wanted to preserve the vividness of the paper.

Other: Hexagon Punch, Pool Party Seam Binding, Silver 1/8″ Ribbon
I hope you’ve enjoyed this look at the Winter Frost paper. I’m sure that I’ll be creating plenty more projects with it over the next few months! Now it’s time to head over to Sara’s blog, where she’ll show you some great projects with the Festive Flurry Bundle.
