Sparkly 10th Birthday

I needed to make a birthday card for my daughter’s closest friend’s birthday, so I turned to this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

Turning 10 is a big deal, and I wanted to make the card really fun and sparkly. I started with the number 10 cut out ofthe Silver Glimmer Paper, and went from there.
Stamps: A Fitting Occasion
Ink: Melon Mambo
Paper: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, 2011-2013 In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack, Subtles Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack, Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack, Silver Glimmer Paper
Other: Melon Mambo Striped Organdy Ribbon, Sycamore Street Button & Ribbon Pack, 1″ Circle Punch, 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch, Large Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies
My little circle on the left got super bulky, but that’s okay, because Eve will be giving this to her friend with the present, so it won’t need to go through the mail. Eve also said that was her favorite part of the card.

What more could a 10 yo girl want??!! Lots of sparkle and these great colors…fabulous, Yapha! Glad to see you this week at FMS!
Blinged out card! I am sure it will be loved by the newly minted 10 year old
I love these fun, happy colors! And the sparkle makes it special. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
What a fun card. The birthday girl is now in double digits! I think she will love it.
That is a very fun card. Love the colors you used too. Perfect for a 10 year old.
Glimmer paper is SO much fun!! 10 comes so fast, doesn’t it?
