Full of Hearts

I saw this great idea on Pinterest last year (wow, has it been around for over a year already?), about covering your child’s door with hearts that say all of the things you love about them, so they wake up to it on Valentine’s Day morning. Steve and I decided to do that. We felt it was especially important since he was going to be in the hospital recovering from surgery on the 14th. This week’s ColourQ Challenge and the MDS Monday sketch were perfect to document that morning.
I used the paper from the More Amore digital download with the great set of words and hearts for the background. Interestingly, this is not in the regular paper pack. It is however one of the designs in the More Amore fabric. Since it is digital, I can just print it out if I want to use it on real paper. It’s win-win, really!
She still has most of the hearts up on her door, so I guess we won’t be able to do this again this year. Better go search Pinterest for another great idea!

so cute! great page and a great valentine’s day idea!
Wonderful page Yapha. I guess there is always the shower curtain to pin notes on. Or a heart shaped waffle with a message doily under the plate? LOL.
What a great idea with the hearts! I love that you used hearts for the layout too! Thanks for joining MDS Monday this week.
What an awesome idea! Too bad Eve never sees the love in your house.
Great page and combo of challenges.
Beautiful layout Yapha, that sketch is great.
Love you take on this sketch challenge. Perfect for the pictures.
What a sweet page! I love this idea for a kid’s Valentine. Great idea to combine two challenges…did I say this page is sweet???
What a fabulous page. I love your choice of background paper so that the colours of the photos pop! Thanks for playing with us at MDS Monday.

Well, that is surely a winner of an idea, and it made an awesome scrapbook page too
