Ribbon Heart

Remember those super cute holiday cards with the ribbon behind the negative space of the framelits? I have seen a few similar ones with hearts, so I decided to make one like that for the Fab Friday Color Challenge and the Paper Players Sketch Challenge.

These cards are easier to make than they look. First, I cut the shape out of the Crumb Cake piece of card stock. Then I placed that on top of the Cherry Cobbler mat, and used a pencil to trace the heart. I removed the Crumb Cake piece, and covered the heart with Snail adhesive. Then I adhered my pieces of ribbon. Since you can see the outline of the heart through the Snail, it is very easy to place the ribbon.
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake
Other: Hearts Collection Framelits, Cherry Cobbler Dotted Scallop Ribbon, Pink Pirouette Taffeta Ribbon, Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding

This is REALLY cute! I love how you used the heart for the sketch and the way you presented it with those stripes. I LOVE it!
LOVE it Yapha! Great way to combine the colors from Fab Friday and I love the clever take on our sketch. The faux stitching is a great touch! So glad you joined us at The Paper Players!
So fun! I love that you used different textures of ribbon for inside the heart! The open space on the rest of the card really makes the heart shine! Thanks for sharing with us at Fab Friday!
Really, really cute. I need to CASE this soon!
What a fun technique and creative way to use ribbon, Yapha. Thanks for sharing your creation with The Paper Players this week!
I need to make one of these and I haven’t gotten around to it yet. Love how you did yours. Perfect colors for Valentines.
Yapha, fabulous idea to add the Pool Party ribbon behind the cut out heart. It really pops the other colors of ribbon. So glad you joined my challenge at the Paper Players this week and shared this fabulous card with us
