Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight

Posted by on August 20, 2012

After having the whole summer off, I am back to work today. Ah the joy of a teacher’s calendar! I tried to squeeze in as many challenges as I could in the last week. Today’scard is for the Friday Mashup Sketch Challenge.

One of my friends had a house-warming party this past weekend, so I used the sketch to make a fun and bright card for her. I created the flower using all three of the Stampin’ Up scallop circle punches. Did you know that there is a smaller scallop circle in the Holiday Mini Catalog? Yep, a 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch. It’s great! I rotated the sketch so that I could use the greeting that I wanted.

Stamps: Perfectly Penned
Ink: Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack, In Color 2011-2013 Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack
Other: Brights Buttons, Lucky Limeade Baker’s Twine, Daffodil Delight Seam Binding

I snipped in between each of the scallops and then ruffled them with my fingers to make the flower stand out a little more.
