Meeting Jon Scieszka!

Are you ready for this week’s ColourQ challenge? It’s all about yellow and green!
My second favorite thing about going to Library conferences is getting to meet some of the authors that I admire. I was super excited to see Jon Scieszka signing books in his Guys Read series, and had to stop for some pictures. Since he was wearing a Pear Pizzazz shirt, I figured those pictures would be great for this week’s colors!
That super cute shape at the top left is from the digital Hugs & Kisses punch set. I hope you will come play along with us at ColourQ this week!

Wow – Did he write The True Story of the Three Little Pigs?? That’s one of my very favorites – how exciting. And it was so thoughtful of him to actually wear a shirt that would match SU’s colors so perfectly!
Do you think my 4th & 5th Graders would be interested in the story about the wolf??

Another fun page and great use of the color challenge. Thanks for sharing info about this author. My younger son doesn’t volunteer to read (let’s put it that way…) but I think with Mr. Scieszka’s site we can find something to encourage him. I pulled my guy in the room and he has already chosen a book. THANKS!
