Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Addicts New Catalog Blog Hop! We are excited to be featuring stamp sets out of Stampin’ Up’s new annual catalog. You may have arrived here from Rhonda’s Blog — don’t you love what she did with those horses? — or you may be starting here. Either way, all of the blogs link together in a circle so you won’t miss a stop!

I am excited to be featuring the incredibly versatile set, A Fitting Occasion. And believe me, it fits many occasions! It contains 24 stamps, only a few of which am I able to show you here today. There are 6 circles of words, with 9 images that can go inside them, plus three more stamps that match our punches!

The first card I want to show you today is a thank you card. This is a 3″ x 3″ little square card that I slipped into each of the Scentsy orders that I delivered this week. That is why it is in the Scentsy colors of purple and green.

Stamps: A Fitting Occasion
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry
Paper: Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry
Other: 1″ Circle Punch, 1 1/4″ Circle Punch, 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch, Rich Razzleberry 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

My second project is a masculine card. There are actual quite a few masculine images in this set, including an adorable mustache. For this card, though, I used the horseshoe. I don’t know if you can see the holes, but I used the new Essentials Paper Piercing Pack to make holes around the top of the Curly Label Punch.

Stamps: A Fitting Occasion
Ink: Soft Suede, Midnight Muse
Paper: Midnight Muse, Soft Suede, Whisper White, Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper
Other: Curly Label Punch, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon

For my third project I decorated some tea lights. These small circles are just perfect for that! Wouldn’t these be great for baby shower favors? These are quick and would be easy to mass produce. (In case it is hard to tell, that is a super cute little elephant in the middle, with a heart at the end of his trunk.)

Stamps: A Fitting Occasion
Ink: Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Pacific Point, Bashful Blue
Paper: Subtles Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack
Other: 1 1/4″ Circle Punch, 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch, Tissue Paper

My last project for today is a super cute little purse! I used the lady bug stamp in Basic Black Ink, and then colored the wings in Real Red. I ran it through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder afterwards to add more interest.

Stamps: A Fitting Occasion

Paper: Whisper White
Other: Petite Purse Bigz Die, Real Red 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Brights Buttons (Real Red), Basic Black 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon

Thanks so much for joining me on the hop! Your next stop is over at Mickey’s Blog where she will be featuring the fabulous new Layered Labels stamp set. Enjoy, and happy stampin’!
