I love ribbon! Who doesn’t really? And Stampin’ Up has so much fun yummy ribbon in the Occasions Mini catalog, I just want it all! But let’s face it, buying all that ribbon can be quite an investment. So to make it easier to have it all, I am offering two different ribbon shares. (Sorry, available only in the United States.)

The first ribbon share is for the 3/8″ Pleated Satin Ribbon, available in Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, and Riding Hood Red. They sell for $6.95 for approximately 5 yards per roll. If you wanted all 4 of these rolls of ribbon, it would cost you $27.80 plus shipping and tax. Instead, you can get 1 yard of each color for $7.50 including shipping to you! This ribbon is just fantastic — I love that how it is already sewn into a pleat!

The second share is for the In Color Baker’s Twine, available  in Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Wisteria Wonder. They sell for $2.95 for approximately 25 yards per roll. If you wanted all 5 of these rolls of Baker’s Twine, it would cost you $14.75 plus shipping and tax. Instead, you can get 5 yards of each color for $3.75 including shipping to you! This twine is so fun to use on so many different projects!

Can’t decide which you want? I can combine shipping, so you get both of the shares for $10.75.  Send me an email if you are interested, and I will follow up with you on the details. Interested in other ribbons? Let me know and if there is enough interest I can put more together.

I love the wide stripes and circle focal point in Stampin’ Addicts Sketch Challenge #119.

I pulled out the Gnome Sweet Gnome set that I earned for free from Stampin’ Up. (Have I mentioned lately how much I love the perks that come with being a Demonstrator? Love it!!!) I also used my Watercolor Wonder Crayons. I haven’t used those in so long, I forgot how fabulous there are. I really love using them!

Stamps: Gnome Sweet Gnome
Ink:
StazOn Jet Black
Paper:
Wild Wasabi, Pacific Point, Rose Red, Whisper White, Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper
Other:
Watercolor Wonder Crayons, 2 1/2 inch Circle Punch, Perfect Pennants Bigz Die

I can’t wait to see what sketch challenge Paula posts next. They have been fabulous lately! I hope you will come join us over at Stampin’ Addicts and play along.

Paula is back with some great sketch challenges over at Stampin’ Addicts! This one is from the week before last, sketch #118. It’s okay though, because there is no time limit so you can play along whenever you have a chance!

I needed to make a thank you card for my fabulous downline Samantha who bailed me out of a total dog-sitting nightmare while we were out of town over the holidays. This sketch was perfect. This also gives you a sneak peek at the gorgeous designer series paper that you can earn for free during Sale-a-Bration! (SAB starts on Tuesday, January 24th!)

Stamps: D is for Dog, Delightful Dozen
Ink: Soft Suede, Pool Party
Paper: Pool Party, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Poppy Parade, Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper
Other: Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon, Full Heart Punch, Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit

The Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper comes distressed on the edges, so I sponged some Soft Suede ink around the edges of the pieces that I cut to match.

It shows all of the MDS software artwork (contained in the boxed-version) and downloads from the October 2009 launch through January 4, 2012! The catalog gives a snapshot of the entire product line with artwork thumbnails followed by product details, which includes the colors of the designer papers! This week’s clean&simple Fall to Layout is REALLY clean and simple! Just one strip of something at the bottom. Wow!

After looking through my stamps, I decided to stick with their place holder of a tree. But I put little hearts on it. It kind of looks like the orange tree in my front yard, except with hearts instead of oranges. (How about a tree that grows red hearts full of chocolates? Yes, please!)

Stamps: Season of Friendship, Delightful Dozen
Ink: Soft Suede, Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade
Paper: Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Poppy Parade, Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper
Other: Heart to Heart Punch

The hearts are punched out using the smallest of the three hearts on the Heart-to-Heart punch. And that yummy new DSP? You can’t buy it, can get it for free during Sale-a-Bration in a couple weeks!

There’ a really fun sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches this week — I like that it has two stripes across the page instead of the usual one.

This gave me a chance to play with some of the new goodies from the Occasions Mini catalog. I love, love, love these new Framelits! I hope they come out with lots of other shapes as well. I also used the new Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details. It is easy to use and adds just the perfect amount of bling.

Stamps: Beary Best Friends
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Cherry Cobbler, Blushing Bride, Soft Suede
Paper: Blushing Bride, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, 2010 In Colors Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack
Other: Labels Collection Framelits, Cherry Cobbler Dotted Scalloped Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details, Stampin’ Dimensionals

I colored the bear with reinkers and my aquapainter. The envelope is stamped on Blushing Bride card stock, then cut out and popped up on a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Wowsers! Today is my 16th anniversary. Below is the card I made for my husband. It was so fun and easy to make with the new Heart Framelits! This card was inspired by a card made by Tonya Byrd that I saw on Stampin’ Connection, a Stampin’ Up demonstrator only website. (There are currently over 200,000 samples posted! Another great reason to be a demonstrator!)

Stamps: Take it to Heart, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Real Red, VersaMark
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Whisper White, Big Top Birthday DSP
Other: Hearts Framelits, Word Window Punch, Matchbox Bigz XL Die, Tempting Turquiose Embossing Powder

I just love how that image looks embossed, and I’m so happy that Stampin’ Up has so many great colors of embossing powder now!

A friend at work just moved into a new house and asked me to make up some change of address cards for her, so I made a few different samples. Below is the card she decided on. (You can see the runner-up here.) Did you see all of those Christmas cards people made where the front of the card looked like a door with a wreath on it? I thought that would be a really fun one to adapt into a change of address card.

Stamps: Loads of Love Accessories
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Soft Suede
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Other: 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4″ Circle Punch, Gold Brad

This could be used as a “Congratulations on Your New Home” card as well, just by changing the sentiment. What else could you use a door for?

My brother’s birthday was early this week, and since I was giving him a gift card, I thought it would a great time to learn how to make the Top Note Gift Card Holder. I used the great tutorial over on Dannie Grave’s blog. It was super easy and came out really cute. I used a tiny dab of Dotto repositional adhesive in the lower right hand corner to keep it closed until he opened it.

Here’s what it looks like when you open it up to reveal the gift card:

Stamps: Delightful Dozen
Ink: Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi, Peach Parfait, So Saffron
Paper: Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper
Other: Top Note Bigz Die, Word Window Punch

I am definitely going to use this gift card holder idea again. I love how it came out!
