Sponging Upsy Daisy

Twice a year our Fourth Grade students go to visit the residents at the Jewish Home for the Aged. On their fall visit, the Fourth Graders stamp cards with the seniors, and the seniors keep those cards to use. It’s a great project and I always enjoy working with our Service Learning Coordinator. This is one of the cards that they will be making this year — nothing too complicated, but a little sponging to make it fun.
Stamps: Upsy Daisy
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Other: Old Olive Satin Ribbon
They will have the choice of all three of the different sayings that come with the Upsy Daisy set, so they can make a card that they need.

Cute card! What a great thing for the 4th graders to do! I bet the seniors really enjoy the children!
And here I was picturing sponge baths! Perfect design for this age group – looks nice but easy to do and just the right level of coordination to accomplish it. Lovely of you to be a part of this wonderful service project. I bet a good time was had by all.
Hah…I just realized I thought your title said sponging Miss Daisy…totally missed the Upsy part. I guess the optomitrist did more than adjust my glasses frames today!
Beautiful card and I love that it can be used for so many occasions. Kudos to you and the kids for such a nice service project.
What a great field trip!
this goes into my ‘projects for seniors and kids’ file! TFS
Just beautiful!
Lovely card! Thanks for the reminder to dust off those daisies!
Love it! I am sure the elders and students had a great time!
The sponging is the perfect detail! Love that you do these events with the kids.
