As soon as I saw this week’s ColourQ challenge colors, I knew exactly what pictures I was going to use!

More pictures from the Prom Premiere, of course! With the Turquoise and shades of orange, it was just perfect! I snagged the movie title from another website, and I wanted to match that shade of turquoise exactly. Unfortunately it is not an exact match to Stampin’ Up’s Tempting Turquoise. But luckily there is a great color matching tool on My Digital Studio that makes it easy to match the exact color of anything on your scrapbook page! I’m putting together a photo tutorial on how to do that, it should be up in a few days.

In the movie, the Prom theme is Starry Night, with many stars used for decoration. I created the background by using the star punch and filling it with different Designer Series Papers. I also changed the sizes of the different stars and angled them differently on the page to provide more visual interest.
