Love this Blossom Punch!

Posted by on February 7, 2011

I was looking for more reasons to use the Build a Blossom stamp set and the matching Blossom Punch, when I saw this week’s Curtain Call Color Challenge. What perfect colors for another flower creation!

I used the same layout as this gorgeous card by Laurie Z. The Wild Wasabi looks a little dark in the photo, but Wow! These colors are fantastic together! You may be wondering the best way to use this punch without wasting paper. To make the large petals, I stamped the image on a strip of card stock that was 2 1/4″ wide, then punched out the petals starting from the left. For the small petal, I punched the petals out of a 1 1/4″ inch wide strip of card stock first, starting from the right. Then I stamped the image on them, which was easy to do since I am using the Clear Mount version of the stamps.

Stamps: Build a Blossom, A Word for You
Ink: Melon Mambo
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi
Other: Blossom Petals Punch, White Satin Ribbon, Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Subtles Glimmer Brads (Wild Wasabi), Big Shot

Be sure to come back tomorrow for my take on the ColourQ challenge.
