Between my friends and family, there are a lot of fall birthdays (including my own). When I saw this week’s colourQ challenge colors, I knew they would be just perfect for a fall birthday card.

I turned to my handy-dandy Baroque Motifs set. Really, I don’t think you can make a bad card with this set. My mom loves it too!

Stamps: Baroque Motifs, Perfect Punches
Ink: Pear Pizazz, Peach Parfait, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Peach Parfait, In Colors Patterns Paper Pack (Peach Parfait)
Other: Pear Pizazz Stitched Poly Ribbon, Wide Oval Punch, Top Note Bigz Die, Big Shot, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Not sure which birthday I’ll use this for, but I certainly have plenty to choose from!

I’m not sure when these buttons became available — Stampin’ Up seems to have snuck them in without an announcement! Since they are  digital, you can use them as often as you would like and they never run out!  These downloads work with My Digital Studio and any other digital scrapbooking program that allows you to import PNG and JPG files.

Have you seen these new houses in the Holiday Mini Catalog? Are they cute or what?

These chipboard houses can be decorated to suit any season or style. The included template will help you embellish as much or as little as you like with Designer Series Paper, ribbon, and more! The size of a finished house is approximately 6-1/4″ x 6″ x 5″. I haven’t had time to make one myself yet — what with the start of the school year and Rosh Hashanah and all — so I thought that I would show you the three examples that Stampin’ Up put together. Which one is your favorite?

It’s a big birthday for my husband this year — I won’t tell you which one, though. But I sure was glad to see this week’s Curtain Call Color Challenge. Perfect colors for a strong, masculine birthday card!

My husband is strong and dependable, just like the mighty oak, so I chose this image from Lovely as a Tree. I really liked the way the image looks stamped on the Crumb Cake paper. I added the white faux stitching with my gel pen to meet the Whisper White requirement of the color challenge. I think it adds a nice touch.

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Texture Stampin’ Around Wheel
Ink: Always Artichoke, Early Espresso
Paper: Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke, Early Espresso
Other: Gold Brads, White gel pen

Happy birthday, honey! And best wishes for many more!

Yay for new paper, stamps, and finally the Word Window Punch! And since it is digital, I can use as much as I want and it never runs out!  These downloads work with My Digital Studio and any other digital scrapbooking program that allows you to import PNG and JPG files.

It must be Fall, because I pulled out the Season of Friendship stamp set! Not that you can tell by the weather here in Los Angeles, but a girl can dream of crisp Fall air and changing leaves, right? I knew it would be the perfect set for this week’s ColorLab Color Challenge.

By using textured card stock in the background and the top note die for the main image, this is a quick and easy card that looks like it took a lot longer!

Stamps: Season of Friendship
Ink: Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Baja Breeze
Paper: Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Baja Breeze (textured), Whisper White
Other: Top Note Bigz Die, Big Shot, Sponge Dauber

I love this stamp set! It makes such great cards.

I have another double challenge card today. This one uses the colors from the Pals Paper Arts Celebrity Color Challenge and this week’s Clean & Simple sketch.

I pulled out Cheep Talk for this one. Haven’t used that set in a while! It needed a little something more, so I added one of the Basic Rhinestones for just a touch of bling.

Stamps: Cheep Talk
Ink: Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron
Paper: Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Whisper White, Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (Old Olive)
Other: Scallop Border Punch, Small Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Basic Rhinestone, Stamp-a-ma-jig

I like doing double challenges — they really stretch my mind!

My friend Holly (catrules over at Stampin’ Addicts) just started a brand new color challenge on her blog and I am so excited to be able to play along! For Color Round Up #1, she picked some great fall colors. I decided to combine them with this week’s sketch on Stamping 411.

Since Holly was kind enough to include Early Espresso as one of the colors, I decided to use the two-step owl punch for the shape on the sketch. I love this little guy! I sponged some Pumpkin Pie ink over the Daffodil Delight card stock to tone it down a notch.

Stamps: Wood Grain, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Sweet & Sour Specialty Designer Series Paper
Other: Pumpkin Pie Satin Ribbon, Two-Step Owl Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Brights Brads (Daffodil Delight), Stampin’ Dimensionals, Sponge

Congratulations to Holly on her new Color Round Up. I’m looking forward to playing along again next week!

I absolutely love the blues that Stampin’ Up has in their color collections right now. Love them! And when I saw this week’s ColourQ challenge, with all of these blues, I just knew I had to play along!

It seems like most of my pregnant friends and colleagues are having baby boys these days, so I thought these colors would be perfect for a baby boy card. I used three of the accessory pieces from Baby Bundle and a lot of polka dots. Polka dots and babies just go so well together, don’t you think?

Stamps: Baby Bundle
Ink: Night of Navy, Soft Suede, Marina Mist, Pacific Point
Paper: Night of Navy, Soft Suede, Marina Mist, Pacific Point, Whisper White
Other: Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impression Folder, Scallop Squar Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch

It’s hard to see on the computer, but the bear’s face does show up in real life.
