One of the exciting new products in Stampin’ Up’s Holiday Mini Catalog are these cute little Sweet Treat Cups. They are clear plastic cups that can hold a variety of items, like candy, button, confetti, and more. I’ve been wanting to use them for a while now, and when I saw today’s sketch challenge on Stamping 411, I knew this would be the perfect time. How perfect is that circle for the Sweat Treats Cup?

On our drive across the country we stopped at M&M World in Las Vegas. They have M&Ms there in a wide variety of colors, and Eve had fun picking out some great colors. I decided to use some of her great colors, with her permission of course. I had thought these M&Ms were Pretty in Pink, and I was going to use the Tea Party DSP, but it turns out they are closer to Orchid Opulence, so I used the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper instead. Love that paper! Here is what I came up with:

CIMG8426

Stamps: Sweet Centers, Teeny Tiny Words
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Paper: Old Olive, Orchid Opulence, Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper, Whisper White
Accessories: Old Olive 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon, Sweet Treats Cup, 1 3/4″ Circle Punch

The petals are made from the petal stamp in the Sweet Centers stamp set. It is an odd little shape, until you realize that it is a petal! It takes 8 of them to go around the circle. The 1 3/4″ Circle Punch makes a hole of the exact right size. Because I did not want to waste the chocolate, or have someone destroy the card to get to it, I used Becky Robert’s tip of creating a sliding panel to get it out. Pulling the Old Olive Ribbon tab on the left slides out a piece of cardstock and allows access to the M&Ms through the inside. Yum!
